What Year EA 20 12?
« on: April 28, 2012, 03:54:56 PM »
Hi All. I have a  EA 20 12  12 string and need help determining what year model it is. There are no serial numbers anywhere inside or outside. The only marking on it is an "A" stamped on the front top brace right beside the truss rod adjusting screw.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Link to pistures is below.

I'm sure you checked, but I'll ask anyway.  Did you check the end of the neck inside the soundhole for the serial #?  Oftentimes on some of the older Festivals, that's where it will be.

TopherToo, you have a very nice looking Washburn Festival EA20 -12 string acoustic - electric guitar... :)

i have a 90's Washburn Festival EA20 B, with serial 902341 (written on paper inside the sound hole) i contacted Washburn customer support and they inform me "George Washburn did not keep product dating on older guitars, and they did not keep record on the country of origin"  they inform me my Festival EA20 is from 90's and possibly produced in either Japan or Korea, no other info  provided... http://www.flickr.com/photos/54785347@N00/6848405780/in/photostream/  I am just glad Washburn validated my assumption.

btw, what is the pre-amp on your 12-string, its not clear picture 'something PS-900'.  i think its a vintage acoustic but i'm not sure... check to compare at the vintage washburn site, here's the link http://vintagewashburn.com/Acoustic/Festival.html

Anyway, does it really matter if it is not made in USA?  For me it's not important that it's MiA, i like MiJ or MiK as the quality and workmanship is excellent, and the guitars are super buttery and playable.  :D
