Picked this up recently, '73 Washburn W300. Great condition for a 40 year old guitar, and sounds great for a lam back and sides. Thumpy, nice trebles, solid bass.

Thanks Gitguy. Yep, rosewood. Nice chimey trebles. The voice is entirely different from other MIJ's I own including the other Beckmens...

Nice score Pike.  If that's the one I was watching on EBay then you scooped 'er up for a pretty nice price.  Well done.

Thanks Keel. This is a sweet one, I'll play her for a while. One of the things the builders did to this one is give her a very thin cut maple bridge plate. Braces not forward shifted or scalloped, but shallow and shaved like some of Guild's series including my D40... yep, and for the price I'll make a few bucks should she end up elsewhere...

Nice, Pike! Very clean and elegantly understated look. I love the style of that, especially the plain bridge and headstock.

Good thing we didn't bid each other up and you have to admit that the headstock really looks nice. Can't tell from the photo's but does it have an arched back like my W-300-12 and about they year does your have a number inside to indicate the year.ship

Thanks Chris, yep, love those old Martin type headstocks. Built in '73 ship, arched back...
