Is this a later model, Pike? The truss rod adjustment is at the heel. The TG guitars I've seen has the adjustment at the headstock. Mine does.

Worst case scenario is you need to reset the neck.  Let's say $500 for the sake of discussion.  If you can buy it for $200-$300, then have $7-800 in it is that reasonable price for one of these?  Seems like that would about the top of the value range and a bit of a gamble.

Different truss rod setups, two completely different types of serial numbers on the Tacoma builts.  I remember yours being the four digit number Nogin, the others start with TG.  The 96 catalog shows the heel adjust, others have headstock adjust. It needs a reset Keel, but it might need a fretboard removal / new truss rod...

shame. I'm with keel though, for the right talented person, this could end up a keeper at  decent price, although never a "bargain". Seen these sell in the 500 range in perfect operational condition.

Ouch!  I play with my truss rods all the time (heh heh) and I can't imagine what they were trying to do to screw it up this bad. Bids already $83 with 4 days left. Sounds like this one may end up being over priced.

The TG's I've seen are bolt on neck, so the neck reset wouldn't be that bad. Just have to remove the fingerboard, and install a new truss rod.

Except that I do not see a bolt on neck there, from that one picture you should be able to actually see the bolt and its not showing.ship
