Need help identifying this guitar
« on: November 28, 2012, 08:42:28 AM »
Hey all, this is guitar I'm looking at, but don't have much information on.  I'm attaching a photo (sorry for the small size, it was the only size I could get.)  Any info on the model would be good.  The only info I have is that it was made in Korea and the serial number is a 9811xxxx.  Thanks for your help in advance.

I figured it out.  An '89 PS500.  Trying to snag it off an auction site.

Quick question: As an 8 digit serial number, would that not mean the first 2 digits were the year rather than just the first. Making this a 98 rather than an 89?

I thought the same thing. But that rule is not written in stone.  But still I wonder.   Tom.   :)

You're correct, I put the year in wrong after looking it up on the Vintage Washburn site.  It would be a '98.
