"New" '96 XB900 bass
« on: December 08, 2012, 04:59:21 AM »
Just picked up a clean '96 USA XB900 bass in natural ash with Bartolini pickups/active EQ system.Loving the bass, but am a bit lost as to what the different knobs control [other than the master volume].XB900 owners have any tips?

I can't find anything definitive -- oh, WHY won't Washburn leave their legacy manuals up??? -- but I found a mention. According to that, the knob closest to the pickups is Volume, the three treble/midrange/bass, & one knob (the mid?) is stacked so you can "sweep" between the two pickups. Inside, there are DIP switches that allow you to set the tone to your style, but I have ZERO idea what it does -- guess you'd just have to try all 16 combinations to see what sounds best.
