XS-6 Bridge Alignment
« on: January 24, 2013, 05:29:11 PM »
Recently bought a second hand XS-6 Bass (hope I have the right forum). Needs a little work but plays well. But the E string is close to the top Edge of the fingerboard. So took another look and it would appear the bridge is set high on the guitar, so all strings are toward the upper edge.
So I thought id bought  a bit of a duffer. However, on looking at several other Washburn Bass pics online, mainly the xs-4 and xs-6, I see that quite a few are like this.
So before I start pulling it apart and re-setting everything. is this how they are meant to be (unlikely) or just a bad day at the office for whoever built my Bass.

Welcome.  I really know nothing about a bass,  but a pic or two of the guitar would be a big help for finding the answers you want.   Tom.  :)   :)
