Washburn c80s Fake?
« on: June 23, 2013, 04:46:16 PM »
I purchased what looks like a c80s, but has no truss rod, has a different tag than usual inside, and was very cheap.  I'm seeing more like this showing up now.  Are  these older c80s models--or newer ones?  By the way when asking a Scott at Washburn customer service about this, he insisted that Washburn classical guitars never have truss rods.  Funny, I have 10--and they ALL have truss rods.

Additionally, on the risk/reward side... why counterfeit a guitar that retails for $249?
Same reason that nobody counterfeits $1 bills.
