New Blue Rover
« on: July 11, 2013, 07:21:20 PM »
I finally had enough of the tinny sounds
of my Martin Backpacker...
I lived with it since 1997 and enuffs enuff..
Just ordered a new blue Rover...
Can't wait to play it beside the campfire...
If this new Rover is anything like the other
Washburns I have & had, I know I'll get many
happy years of playing out of it...

Update: Rover arrived a couple days ago.
I was expecting a cheapo little guitar. I couldn't have been more wrong.
This little guitar is well built. Even the finish is pretty good.
The biggest surprise for me was how well it plays and sounds.
It has really good sound for such a small body.
Even the case that came with it is well made.

The Rover makes my Martin Backpacker look and sound like a cheap little kid's toy.

If I ever have to get a new travel guitar I definitely will get another Rover.

If you ever need to get a small travel guitar, get a Rover and you will be glad you did.

Thanks Washburn for another good guitar.

Time for me to go and sell my Backpacker on CL.

Good, now I can check one out.  When the local store had one it and the Fender both had the glue? smell.  They have probably  fixed that by now.   Tom.  :)
