Washburn Mandolin .

Hello,

I was recently given a Washburn Mandolin SN 55212.  It has 13 small ribs, dot inlay on fret 5, diamond-like inlays on 7 and10 and a bitd on 12, plain head and simple machine plate with Washburn engraved.  Inside says The New Washburn 1897 Model.  It is a very plain instrument compared to most I have seen on various sites but it plays well and sounds pretty good.

Can anyone help me identify age and moodel number or any other info about the instrument.

Thanks,

Giuseppe

You have a Style 122, one of the cheaper Washburns. Yours was made around 1897.
