Shielding Options for a Stu Ham Signature AB40
« on: January 04, 2014, 09:05:43 PM »
I am looking for options to shield my bass from picking up radio frequency.  Presently, I am having to turn my treble knob all the way down to eliminate the noise.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I am close to selling this bass but really don't want to.

i think either copper tape, aluminum tape, or shielding paint should be sufficient to block the 60 cycle hummm.  for me, I just used aluminum tape (which i bought in Home Depot) for my guitar shielding and it works fine.   Surely, others will chime in with better options.

someone told me take the pickup and dip in wax... not sure if he was kidding or if he was serious.
