HB-35, 1990 vintage I believe
« on: April 07, 2015, 09:14:52 PM »
I'm new to the forum and actually new to Washburn.  I picked up this guitar very inexpensively and it was a mess.  I've thoroughly cleaned it, adjusted the neck, pickup pole piece, intonation, etc. and it's turned out to be a very nice guitar.  It seems to be very well made and I think everything is original to the guitar.  I've got to work out a sticking pot but other than that it plays beautifully and sounds great through my Budda amp. I'd like to know as much as I can about this guitar and so far I haven't found another exactly like it.  Some are close.  I've gone through all of the pages in this section of the forum and saw one that was very similar but it had block markers whereas mine are split.  The five piece neck also seems to be kinda rare as I look at so many other examples.  There is a label inside the left F hole that has the serial number 906382.  Shall I assume it is a 1990 vintage guitar?

Thanks for any help!

sara, welcome to the forum. I don't know anything about this guitar but I have to tell you, it is a beauty. It was quite a find.

Thank you Murph.  It is a beautiful guitar and I'm quite impressed with it.  I own several pro level guitars and this one is a joy to play as well.

That's exactly like mine, save for the strings-through bridge on mine.
S/n 9205530 , which leaves me clueless really..
