N4 flame custom
« on: August 23, 2015, 03:25:26 AM »
Hi guys, I just acquired this N4 guitar. Can you please identify this guitar? I am not sure if it is a davies or a transition era.  Looking at the design it looks like a custom shop gtr but I am not too sure.  It does sure  play very fast!!!

here are the photos. https://n4blueflame.shutterfly.com/pictures#n_5

thanks in advance. let me know if you can't access the pictures.

Hi, from what I can tell it is def. not a Davies. I think it is a custom one.
Guitars:
Washburn N4 1991 natural
Washburn N4 2009 flame top
Washburn N2 1991
Washburn EA22NB

Its a '92 production model.  USA N4. I have a '92 as well. It also has the schaller floyd and washburn tuners.

The Wikipedia article states that "all N4s have ebony fingerboards" except for a rare all-padauk version, & composite (plastic) on some prototypes. Is this not correct?
