Washburn J-20
« on: March 02, 2016, 09:12:48 PM »
I just purchased a 1992 J-20 jumbo.  What a fantastic looking/sounding guitar!  Can anyone tell me anything about it?  It appears to have a solid cedar top and walnut B/S.  Can anyone tell about this beautiful axe?

Welcome to the forum.  Ship has given you a pretty good rundown on the guitar.  Here is a bit more skinny.

J20 S
- jumbo style, solid cedar top, oval soundhole, bound body, five-stripe rosette, walnut back/sides, mahogany neck, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl snowflake inlay at 12th fret, rosewood bridge with pearl dot white pins and bone saddle, walnut veneer on peghead, three-per-side chrome diecast tuners, available in Natural finish, mfg. 1991-93.
Grading 100% Excellent Average
N/A $400 - 475 $250 - 300
Last MSR was $900.

The walnut back and sides are laminate.  Top is solid wood.  Ships valuation is about right.  You don't see a lot of these.  Would be interested in some pics if you have them.
