70's Washurn W-250 MIJ Serial #4
« on: March 31, 2016, 03:37:16 PM »
Greetings washy lovers! I haven't been around here in a very long time. I am going to be selling this and a bunch of other gear; have a baby on the way and 27 guitars is overkill! Especially since most of them sit and collect dust. I wanted to come over and offer this old girl to all you Washburn lovers first.

She is beautiful and sounds rich and full. There is a tiny bit of fret buzz on the low E when struck hard. I am not proficient working on acoustics, so I have not tried to tweak with hit. It doesn't bother me and shows up when hitting harder. It looks like someone may have repaired the area where the neck meets the body as there is what looks like glue (see photos). It's been strung and played for years with no issues. The body is near mint and the wood grains are really nice.

I don't know how to price this, so I am open to reasonable offers. I am posting it on reverb.com so I have a place to put the photos. https://reverb.com/item/2001026-rare-1970-s-washburn-acoustic-model-w-250-serial-number-4-sounds-and-play-beautifully

There is a longer description there as well. I priced it a little higher to give anyone here a first shot.

In either case, just keep strumming, just keep strumming!!

Thanks Ship! It's been a long time... We're excited - I started all over - been a crazy trip these last ten years :P
Do you know Jims handle on here? There's a lot of Jims on the list! I appreciate the tip. Be well and keep on strumming!
