That soundboard sure does NOT look like spruce...looks more like Bubinga.
Spruce is a light colored, very straight grained wood...not at all like the figuring on that second photo. The "BR" part of the model designation could actually be for "B
ed"...that's what I see when I look at that soundboard, bubinga graining and red stain. I'm not sure what the "Y" part would be....not sure I've ever seen that letter used in a model designation before.
Are we sure that's right?
