WI-65 Pro + Bigsby
« on: August 31, 2016, 06:33:37 AM »
So my WI-65 pro is getting pretty beat up now, having been gigged as my main guitar for... nearly 8 years now :\

So I've since gotten another stoptail type guitar and wanted to get myself a bigsby and a nice roller bridge to go with it...but i can't seem to find any specs on whether the measurements for the tail piece and bridge are the same as the gibson equivalent bridges. I'd prefer to get myself a B-50 because it looks neater but i know a B-70 or B-30 would work just fine too but as i say, i'd prefer to not have the tail piece go down onto the side of the guitar, i just think it's too 50's/Archtop looking to go with the modern kinda look of the Idol.

I've been thinking about doing this for a few years and i've never managed to find someone who did something similar with an Idol to get their perspective on it, so idea about the measurements for the bridge or any personal experience with putting a bigsby on an Idol (or any similar bridged washburn really) would be greatly appreciated
