Washburn WCG18CEN-anyone got one?
« on: November 07, 2016, 12:25:00 PM »
Hi guys,

I have a nice Washburn WD15sce dreadnought guitar that I got at a good price from Amazon, I like it but it can be a little uncomfortable to play at times.

I see there is a comfort series from Washburn and in particular I am looking at the WCG 18 CEN model,

https://www.amazon.com/Washburn-WCG18CE-Comfort-Select-Auditorium/dp/B004Y1O1MO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478542499&sr=8-1&keywords=washburn+wcg18cen

Just wondering has anyone got one of these and how comfortable are they to hold and play? Also the tone? I see there are a few reviews online but I have more value on the opinions from this forum.

As I probably will have to buy online your opinions greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
Joe

it is a nice guitar.. since it has thinner body the bass is not as pronounced.. no need to do much upgrades but i'm a tinker modder so i had to add something something.. I installed Bigrock Innovation Power Pin acoustic pins, custom cut my own clear pickguard, and Planet waves O-port in the sound port.. :)

BTW, the thinner body and contour body cut helps make this a really comfortable guitar to noodle with.

Here is my WCG18CE

i would pit this against more expensive acoustics.
