Hello, i'm new to the community,

i've just received Washburn bass xb400, but do not know the  year of produce or weather or not it was made outside of Korea.

the serial number is "s6031614"

any help would go a long way

hello redclaybanddit,

best educated guess is it is made by Samick.. most probably produced on 96'..

Here are my Bantam bass:

my XB-400 S/N: S6053895  (96' doesn't have print 'Made in Korea' I have done some research and 'S' preceding the serial number is Korean made)

my XB-500 S/N: 98100159  (98' has 'Made in Korea' printed under the serial number)

my XB-600 S/N: S4073427  (94' doesn't have print 'Made in Korea' printed under serial number)

I also have RB2000 which is the Rock Bass but it shares the same shape as Bantam Series. my RB2000 has 'Made in Korea' under the serial number.
