NX6 ???
« on: February 03, 2017, 12:47:21 PM »
Trying  validate which Washburn I have.

It's a textured Black USA NX6 model "I think."

Hard tail, standard headstock,  Stephens cut away, with EMG's

S/N#: 0203046
with "MADE IN USA" stamped on the back of the headstock with the S/N#

Close to this, but with EMG & chrome knobs(I can post pics of mine shortly)

Has EMG's with pickup rings.

Trying to find out info on it.

Were EMG's a factory option, etc....

Thanks you for your time.  -Tres

Those NX6 guitars were only made for a couple years and they seem to vary from guitar to guitar. Most were hard tails but a few had floyds. Most had no fret markers but a few had them.. same with the pickup rings. Most didn't have them.  I THINK the standard pickups were custom custom bridge and 59' neck. I seem to remember one with a full shred bridge as well as the wood variants (paduak, alder, maple ect). Plus Jon Donais was using them and had them outfitted with emg at the time if I remember correctly, so it would not surprise me if a few had emgs.

Thank you for the reply.

There is not a lot info on the net about these.
and this one seems to be even more of an unique build.

It plays and sounds amazing.

I found out the history on this one. The guy who bought it new, never learned to play, it has sat in a closet for years.
It's 99.9% new old stock.. :-)
