J-14 and J-15
« on: April 29, 2017, 08:22:32 PM »
Hi,
Were the J-14 and J-15 made in Korea or the USA?  I have searched all over and found conflicting info. The list prices for both would seem to indicate USA.

                    Thanks, Don

BigCity2,
Thanks for the reply.  Who are the respective vendors and from what countries?

              Thanks, Don

Thanks for the great info Bigcity2.   As is all to common, Wikipedia has the wrong info. Which has helped perpetuate the made in USA perception.

From Wikipedia production section:   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washburn_Guitars

"Other US made Washburn guitars from the 90s Custom Shop included the rare J-14 (1998) and J-15 (1998-1999) archtops which featured the Buzz Feiten tuning system. These were among the highest listing MSRP Washburn electrics made."
