Washburn D-32-S S# 84995
« on: August 19, 2017, 06:54:17 PM »
My dad has a Washburn D-32-S  Serial number 84995, and I'm trying to date it for him so he can sell it.  Any help dating / pricing would be much appreciated.  It's in virtually perfect shape, minus a small scratch on the front.

Other info:
Solid Cedar top.
Solid Mahogany Neck.
Makassar back and sides.

As they were made ~1988-1994, your is likely 1988.

Depends what you mean by "pricing." Book value is presently ~$500 in Excellent shape. That's about what a general guitar shop would put it out at. Which means you can expect to make 40%-60% of that.

Or you can list it yourself; I note that a few have gone out for as high as $900 (with OHSC) but that was listed almost two years before a buyer appeared.

It's possible that you might find a Washburn fan -- we do exist -- who'd happily pay $500 or so.

I'm certain I had a What's my guitar worth? thread, but now I can't find it.
