Please Help Identify?
« on: February 20, 2018, 01:48:48 AM »
Hi guys.
Sorry for the odd request. I owned a Washburn acoustic guitar (as per the photograph).
It was caught in a fire in my folks' home at the end of December but survived relatively unscathed. The case was kind of blackened but the guitar seemed OK. However, it was subsequently stolen from an area we were using to store the stuff we salvaged from the fire. The police caught the guys that did it and I need to know how much the guitar is worth for insurance purposes (they weren't able to recover it).

This is the only photo I have of the guitar as I lost my PC in the fire also. I know it's a bad pic with the music stand in the way etc.. All I can remember is that it was a 3/4 size ( "concert" size?) with a solid top and had no built-in amplification (I used to use a pickup in the sound hole). The head stock seems to have a kind of "V" cut shape in the top.

Any idea how much it is worth? I bought it around 20 years ago and from memory it cost around NZ$500.

ANy help greatly appreciated.
