Please help identify this Washburn
« on: January 04, 2019, 03:05:33 PM »
This is my first post and also my first Washburn guitar. It actually belongs to a friend of mine and he has entrusted me with it. He inherited it and is not a musician, so he has no idea what it's worth or how to even go about selling it. I told him I'd be happy to see what I can find out, only to get the guitar and realize the model number has been scratched out. If any of you can help me determine model and value I would greatly appreciate it. It plays really well and sounds good too. The only blemish other than the black sharpie "Robert" (over the model number sticker that has been removed) is the faded spot on the back of the body.
Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen this one in my catalogues. Probably from 1995 onwards judging from the sticker. V-head-stock.
I have never seen this type of inlay on other WBs.
Body made from cheaper asian wood, top is spruce.
can you see if the top is solid wood?
My Washburns: D-20SN (1988) - D-30SN (1989) - D-61SW12 (1989) - D-66SW (1979)

Looks like it's laminated.
