Washburn D10S Serial Number!!!!
« on: May 11, 2019, 01:45:36 AM »
I just bought my first Washburn D10S NAT and I have a couple of questions regarding the serial number.
The serial number is: CD04083454
I'm assuming this is a 2004 model. Am I correct?
Does anyone know what the CD stands for? I'm assuming its the manufacturing location in China, but not

Yah, you're likely correct about the date. I'd say it's the 3,454th Washburn instrument completed at that factory in the month of August 2004.

Few of us can do more than make an educated guess about the factory. I have a list I asssembled from various brands but it's misplaced; here's an Epiphone list:

I = Saein
U = Unsung
S = Samick
P or R = Peerless

DW = DeaWon
EA = Gibson/QingDao
EE = Gibson/QingDao
MC = Muse
SJ = SaeJung
Z = Zaozhuang Saehan
BW = China

I'm certain that leaves off at least three more Red China factory complexes.
