neck pocket?

hey,
can anyone tell me what the dimensions are that washburn uses for the neck pockets on its xb100 bass. i need to buy/make a new neck for mine.

That's a tough one. You'll need to get something to measure it with that measures in at least 1/32. It may be possible to use a micrometer, you just spead the pins out and read the distance between.

yeah, i'll have to try find one.

one question though, as the heel of the neck is rounded and so is the pocket. do i measure from the centre of the pocket or the side of the pocket.

Either way. If you measure from the center you'd need to find the mid line and measure from there.I'd make a lot of measurements to find themiddle if you do it that way. With a micrometer it would probably be easier to just measure the neck itself. The rounded parts you might find with that plastic gadget the mapmakers use that has all the rounded curves on it. I Can't think of the name of that thing, but they're sold in all college book stores and used in math.
