Washburns made in Japan
« on: December 09, 2005, 08:25:41 AM »
Hello all,

I was wondering, I recently purchased a Washburn M3SW that was made in Japan (1988).  I understand that they are now made in Korea.  Are these anything like the Kentuckys where the ones made in Japan are considered more valuable than the ones made in Korea?  Looking for thoughts and feedback on this.

Thanks

I have heard for years theat the Japan made mandos from the 70's and 80's are better sounding and quality than the present models made in Korea. Some of the F style Jethro Burns models still bring prices higher than the new ones. For lower cost mandos, I think they are a good choice.
