American Conservatory? Help to ID!
« on: January 22, 2006, 11:47:53 AM »
I have an old heirloom mandolin I want to refurbish and would love to identify it.
It's about 100 yrs old, and is a flat top, bowl back type. It has a very plain bent head with a shallow V shape, single color back. Also has 17 frets, what looks to be tortoise shell pick guard and a white inlay surrounding the top. Only identifying marks are The shell shaped tailpiece woth the marking PAT MCH 10.91 and a label inside that reads American Conservatory....can anyone help?
                    Thanks  Jeff
