Looks like I've never added my 2 cents.

Hi I'm john and I live near Sparta, Tennessee.  Hardly a place to buy a drink and nearly nowhere that supports local musicians.  Good times.

Hey, everybody. Newbie here, from just outside Charlotte. Just joined this site and am looking forward to gleaning the knowledge of the expert musicians and technicians that I'm sure I'll encounter here.
I play several different guitars, but my main is my very first guitar, a Washburn Force 30 Strat copy. It taught me to play, and has held up through all the years of my learning abuse(which continues). I once thought of this as a beginner that I would replace as I developed, and I have accumulated other guitars over the years, but the more I play it, the more I appreciate the tone and reliability of it. I'm only now trying my hand at minor repairs/upgrades and hope to benefit along these lines by hanging out here and sponging wisdom from you all. Oh, and Happy New Year!

Vancleave, Mississippi :  if there's anyone in the surrounding area that's a tone freak like me...let me know, man.  Mobile, AL, Ocean Springs, Gulfport, Biloxi.  Dream Theater, Queensryche, Winger, King's X, Porcupine Tree, Megadeth, Satch, Vai, Guthrie Govan, Richie Kotzen and so on...  I'm sorting the speakers I need for an extention cab and gassing for a Cornford Roadhouse 30Watter next.  I have a '92 Davies made Washburn Alder N4 that I bought brand new that I still like better than any Les Paul or Strat that I've ever come across.  Tele's have a great sound but I'm a stout humbucker fan...stout, just like my beers of choice   Nu-metal...nah.  7 string guitars..nah.  I'm 39 and old school all the way... I live in Tallahassee, Florida but I'm originally from South Florida.  It's a different planet up here and I can't seem to finish that last degree fast enough....
