What is the width of the fingerboard at the nut? I have checked other Washburn Jazz guitars at my local dealer, and they are one and five-eights inch. Too narrow.

That's a very nice guitar there. I have always liked the look of Jazz guitars, but as I don't play jazz music, I can't really warrant buying one.

I'm trying to order one of these from a dealer. I called washburn friday and was told they were in stock. I was then told that they come with a gig bag and no hardshell case at the price that is listed on this forum. I've owned fender, gibson, hagstrom, electra and silvertone. My dealer talked me into the d46 electric acoustic and Iloved the J7. He checked today and they are 3-5 months away and come with a gigbag. I'm getting confused and wondering if I should rethink this. You tell me. Washburn Guitars Announces New Jazz Guitar

Their announcement states HSC, so I would hold them to it.

So this means that the other notice on your website about the J7 is wrong. You still have it listed with Hardshell case under news. You post something different and now its okay? You sent out a false press release and gave wrong info at namm?
When does it stop? The deluxe hardshell case should be included as stated. This is a very bad first experience with Washburn.

Don't know who told you the J7's were in stock, we do not give out inventory information to anyone but our dealers. The J7 comes in a gig bag. Yes the press release states that it comes in a harshell case. It's not unusual for specifications to change between a press realease and when the item actually ships. The final arbiter in these matters is always the price list.
If you're adamant about getting the hard case, take it up with your dealer when you purchase the guitar and perhaps he can work something out with his sales rep.

Mike, I already purchased it. My dealer is waiting to resolve this. I'll take this up with him. He's already shipped my D46sces. Thanks for responding.
