Welcome to the Washburn Forums, Steve!!  Jump on in at the Acoustic Guitar section as well.  We're a fairly well adjusted lot, and we all have the same affection for these wonderful guitars.  I am the acoustic guitar player for our praise band, and I enjoy changing up guitars from time to time.

Just a few of my toys. [:D]

I live in Redlands. I miss the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans museum!!! Branson seems so far away. They do have cabins you can rent and a movie theatre for real reasonable prices...its just gettin time to go to Branson thats the problem lol.

Hey Steve,
Welcome.  Ask lots of questions.  We all learn that way.  I am the youth minister at my church and also lead bible studies and some p&w for our youth.  Actually we met at my house tonight.  Some of the guys play guitar and bass and we had a mini jam session after our study.  It's a good thing the bible says make a joyful noise instead of make a beautiful noise.[:D]

Say it ain't so Wings!

Yep. Steve pointed out he misses the RR/DE Museum, and after Dale died in 98 about a year after Roy, the family (son Dusty) packed up the museum, stuffed Trigger & all, it was torn down and converted basically to an Auto Mall. Til then, you could whiz by Victorville on I-15 the way from LA to Vegasand see this huge statue of Trigger in front of the museum all raised up & kicking. Roy & Dale are both buried at Sunset Hills Memorial Park here in Apple Valley, where they lived and raised their family.

They still are legendary here. We just had the 10th Annual Roy Rogers-Dale Evans Film Festival that raises money for their Happy Trails Children's Foundation, which benefits abused children. I've been involved with the Foundation since 95.

I know Redlands very well, Steve. We visit there often.

That's cool W.D. Thanks for the info, and your involvement w/the Happy Trails Foundation, that sounds like a great thing!

Oh yeah - Steve, welcome aboard![8D][8D]
