Title: SBS-20
Post by: dougie on January 08, 2009, 01:54:15 PM
Has anyone got any general information on the SBS-20? I've just got my hands on one and I'd like to know some stuff.I can play very well but I am not at all guitar tech!! What pickups? Any good points? Any bad points? ( hope not!) How old are they roughly?
I'd like to know anything you can tell me please.

Thanks for your help.[?][:)]

Hi dougie and welcome to the forum.
Don't know a lot about that model but here's a bit of info.
Made in either Japan or Korea 1988-1989, solid body (Chambered) acoustic. Fishman (I Think) under pietzo pickup with probably an Ash top. Nice guitars. I've had similer models with the chambered body and they even sound good unplugged. Well built anyway. Nice buy, congratulations.

thanks for that information cornishboy. I bought it from my friends dad and I remember him playing it years ago. I only heard it and saw it once but I've always wanted it!! I couldn't believe my luck. The condition is almost as new and the tone is wonderful, plugged in or not. I'm certainly a washburn fan now![:D]
