Title: FYI - antique Washburn mando for sale
Post by: DontTreadOnMe on July 24, 2013, 01:17:43 PM
No, it's not mine!  Saw this ad on Houston CL and thought I'd share in case anyone was interested.  I'm in the general area of NW Houston so if someone from outside Houston wanted more info I'd be glad to stop by and have a look in person.  My email is in my profile.

One of the nicest I've ever seen.....and I've NEVER seen one in a case...sort of a funky case, but still the first.

I had a Lyons & Healy (I think...I put pics up on the forum...somewhere) beetle mando in my hands a few years ago, it was nowhere as nice as that one. The owner was from the Webster area, not NW Houston, and she was politically active there so she was probably not about to move.  It has to be a different one.

I like that it has the original tuners  :D

The wood likes very nice...for that kind of $$ I would expect it to be as-new....not the funky case, just the mando  :o

Cheers!
