Title: N4 - no Made in USA stamp - early model
Post by: Monkeychunki on January 03, 2015, 12:53:00 PM
Hi, im considering buying a 93 N4 however it doesn't have the Made In USA stamp at the back of the head stock but it does have a serial number & Made in USA on the SEC. I've read that they didn't start introducing the stamp on the back of the headstock until 1995, can someone confirm this please.

thanks

Maybe a made in japan guitar?

I believe these have a red stamed serial number inside the cutaway, if you are in a position to take the neck off amd have a look.

not sure if there are other ways to tell if it is made in Japan (MIJ) but you might find more info on this board!
