Title: Bought a stripped BT 6/GBL to carve body, need all parts
Post by: DarryllIcht on January 29, 2015, 01:13:07 PM
I don't know the first thing about Washburns, and I've never replaced any electronics or mechanics on an electric, but I've wanted to carve my own bodies, starting with an existing instead of starting from scratch. I guess I picked a pretty complicated model to begin with, but I got it for $5 at a garage sale. Now I need all the parts before I start- simply everything for the body (2 dual coil, 1 single pickup, 5-way switch, 2 pots, bridge with tremolo, scratch guard/cover, back cover) the machine heads, and the hex wrench lock downs for the neck- if I have to put the lock downs back on; it seems I can use the top nut without them. Any advice; where to go for parts; websites or people on this forum. Thanks.
