Title: How to stretch your left-hand fingers like John Mayer
Post by: Aplam on February 15, 2019, 04:29:59 AM
I am trying to play some of John's songs like Heart of Life and Why Georgia. In heart of life, he plays the melody on Bm chord on the 7th Fret which is a huge stretch of the pinky. Also, I find all the minor wrap around chords to be very tough as the ring finger has to reach the D string. The major wrap chords are fine enough for me. ovo.fyi/lorem-ipsum (https://ovo.fyi/lorem-ipsum/) ovo.fyi/temp-mail (https://ovo.fyi/temp-mail/) ovo.fyi/10-minute-mail (https://ovo.fyi/10-minute-mail/)

The chords that he plays in why Georgia are also pretty stretchy chord especially the jazz version of Cadd9 in the main riff. And don't even get me started for the song Neon.
