General Discussion on Washburn Electric Guitars / Re: New Score...MG104?
« on: January 27, 2013, 11:26:53 PM »
Yep, it's a mg104.  I have the same guitar with a rosewood board.  Yours has had the trem changed though.  They originally came with a Schaller trem.  Nice score!

Looking to buy USA made Washburn MG series guitars.  Prefer the ones with a Floyd, like the MG-104 or MG-94, but am open to others too.  Condition is more important than exact model.  Let me know if you've got one to move- Thanks!

Well, this one is up for sale to pay for a Custom Shop piece- $425 shipped and PayPal'd in the lower 48.   (That's less than I paid for it). I really don't want to eBay this- someone here must need this for their collection!

Hmmm- did you sell it to a store in the midwest?  Maybe it is yours!

I recently picked up this MG 113 that has some nice differences from the stock model (which is rare enough on its own).  This one has a one-piece Swamp Ash body (with some nice figuring and bear claws) and Ebony board.  Still has the 3 Duncan hum-canceling singles, Schaller Floyd, etc.  The action on this is sick low, and it was in NOS shape with just the most minor of shop wear.  Frets are like new, no issues at all.

It's got a N4 vibe in some ways, actually. Check it out here:

N Series (Nuno Bettencourt) / What amp do you use with your `Nuno`?

Mesa Studio .22+.  Love it!

N6 on eBay, N4 off the table unless something else falls through...

Thanks- I have them priced low to sell quick, but am also open to offers (as always- times are tough!).  The top on the N4 is Suhr/PRS quality- the nicest I've seen on a N4 for sure...

Due to some bad luck and timing, I have to sell off my best Washburn guitars (one of which I just got).  I need to move these very quickly, so they are priced lower than anything I could find online.  If you want both I can deal as well.  Here goes…
New Washburn N6- When I say new, I mean it just arrived on June 11th new in the factory box.  I took it out for inspection and to shoot the pics only.  Specs are readily available online, but this is one of the last ones made so it comes with the Original Floyd (as opposed to the Washburn-braded Schaller that are more common on these).  Comes with everything from the factory, in original hardshell and original factory box.  $1400 shipped and paypal’d (you won’t find a better price on a N6).

Washburn artist N4 quilt top- Now this is a special one.  I used to work at Washburn, and this N4 was a special sent to Grady Champion, Dimebag’s guitar tech.  What did Dime want with an N4?  I have no idea.  Either way, this is a unique N4.  One piece Mahogany body and matched quilt top.  Also, notice that there are no holes drilled for the trem backplate.  A few knicks on the back of the neck and a few dings on the body (nothing to the wood), but great overall shape.  This guitar sounds and plays better than any Washburn I’ve had (and I’ve had many).  $1200 shipped and paypal’d.

I believe you're right, this is one of the last ones made I think.

I just got a N6 yesterday- ordered new in the box from USM, and it has an OFR.  I think the later ones did.

The finish has settled a bit, of course, over the years.  Would you really strip it when it has such a nice natural relic thing going on?  Of course, whoever buys it can do whatever they please...  (and at this price someone better step up soon).
