General Discussion / dime alien guitars
« on: July 28, 2008, 09:50:12 AM »
Hey folks. Anybody have any information on the Washburn Dimebag ML shaped guitars with the Alien head on the front? Not the Trendkill with the alien skull on the back, but the imported, less expensive ones that had an alien Head graphic on the front. Anybody have any pictures of some or information, that would be great. Made in Korea or China, I think? I have a friend with one he wants to sell, and he told me some ridiculous story about one selling on ebay for thousands of $$$, and I was like, yeah right, a cheap import dime for thousands, I don't think so. I just wanted to get some real information on these, so I can have some ammo when I have to deal with him again. The truss rod cover says: Dime36 G17. Thanks for any help on the issue.

No, you're right it's not a real ML.  It's a real Washburn Dime 3 Southern Cross #99/100 Black Back to commemorate the Tour with Black Sabbath, complete with signed certificate of authenticity signed by Dimebag.  Yup. definately not a Dean ML.

haha... Nice one Joey... pwn3d...
Sweet axes bro. Love the Southern Cross ML!!!!!!
Looks like you may need a custom Truss Rod Cover for your Red ET, and your green Idol?
LOL, Just kidding bro. Awesome guitars, and hell no, it's NOT a Dean ML![8]

General Discussion on Washburn Electric Guitars / N6 pickup question
« on: January 09, 2006, 02:11:47 PM »
I made a bunch of pickguards for the N5 and N6 guitars in 2005 for the Custom shop. They all had the routing for the Bill Lawrence, not the Seymour Duncan. I had to create a special program for the BL shape. Anybody got one of the N5 or N6 guitars with the black anodized pickguard? Those would be the ones that I made. I mentioned the SD/BL web reference to the Custom shop once myself, just to try and remind them to change the picture, y'know? Anyway, I've lost my point, haha. Oh yeah, Bill Lawrence in the N6.

Hey, the BoogieMan is here...
wat up dog? Nice to see ya postin' here. BoogieStreet Rocks. end of story.[^]

They changed the bridge pickup from the Duncan to the Bill Lawrence in the N6. I know because I recently created Anodized Aluminum pickguards for the N5 and N6 models. The original routing for the N6 was for a standard size Humbucker. When I did my first sample, they said the pickup didn't fit, so they would send me one, so I could correct the hole size in my program. They sent me a Bill Lawrence USA. I am not sure if it is an L or an XL, though. All I know is that it sounds absolutely brilliant, and I love the pickup. I asked why the website showed a Duncan JB in the bridge. I was informed that the bridge pickup had been changed to the Bill Lawrence. That's all I know, and it ain't much, hahaha...[:D]

Eh tu Burner? Yeah, Ripper has some serious dime's as well. Hi Guys!!!!

The X50 has way better sound quality than the Epiphone, IMHO. The Zakk EMG's are the ticket there. That looks like a beautiful example of the X50 right there. Buy it!

Listen to the Madrocker, my friend. He knows his Dimes. He has one of the most beautiful collections I've ever seen. They rock!![:D]
