General Discussion / String gauge in a new N4
« on: April 01, 2008, 11:20:40 AM »
I need to know what string gauges are installed on the N4 guitars when they come out from factory.

I've heard that I'd better not to modify the gauge if I want the Buzz Feiten tuning system to keep on workin' fine. Is that true?

Thanks from overseas!

I've just bought an amazing N4 ESA. I thought it was supposed to have an original floyd rose tremolo but I've found a Schaller floyd rose instead. Is it ok or has someone pulled my leg?

Moreover, the tremolo bar doesn't fit into the hole (sorry for my english), at the shop they insist it was a mistake, that probably it wasn't the right tremolo bar... and they'll give me a new one this afternoon... Disappointing and scaring, isn't it?

Moreover, I thought that new models are equipped with push/pull volume knobs, mine doesn't... I don't care too much since I'm not a huge fan of single coil sound but I'd rather know if there's anything wrong.

The rest seems to be ok: Swamp ash body, 22 fret maple neck with ebony fingerboard, L500 Bill Lawrence bridge pickup, Seymour Duncan '59 neck pickup, Stephens extended cutaway, Grover 18:1 tuners, Buzz Feiten Tuning System, Flight case GC31R and so on... but I don't trust...

Please help me! Thanks a lot from overseas!
