Festival Series / 2002 EA9B ?
« on: October 03, 2014, 09:31:18 PM »
Could one of you give me the value, and info on the EA9B, guitar?     There is no info on the search here. Or Google as  far as that goes.   SC 02101072,  so I know it is a 02 Samik in China.  It has 18-1 Grover's and I for get the pre amp name.   A slider volume and 4 0r 5 EQ sliders.   no tuner.  1/4" out and the three prong SLR out. Is it Spruce and Mahogany?   Local store has it, and I have wanted a Festival for a long while now.   It sounds ok, but plugged in to a regular amp it sounds way better.  So acoustic amp should be great.  They want 250.00 for it. And with a new soft hard case they  want 318.00 out the door. Just because I really want it, does not mean I want to pay a lot more than it is worth.  I no it is all lam, and being a 9  I would " guess " it is the lowest entry level.   But no dings or scratches, just very light surface swirls.  Neck is straight and does not need a set up, but will put new strings on it.  Nut and saddle look to be plastic.   I like the look, sound and feel of it, and that is number one, just want a fair price.    Thanks' Tom.  :)  :)  P.S.  Is it a thin mini jumbo size? Seen this mentioned on Google somewhere.   XLR.  :)

General Discussion / Camel Crickets, We have had a thread on this before.
« on: September 03, 2014, 08:50:39 AM »
Some were on here Y.D. and I have talked about these crickets.   I see less bugs now than the whole 22 years I have lived here.  I use no insect spray. and Vinegar for weeds.   :)    I rarely see a cricket,   so to me a good trade off.   I was bit by a Brown Recluse once, but now I rarely  ever see one.   Tom.    :)      P.S.   They are quite, they make no chirping.

Just bought me my first Brand new USA guitar.  :)My local store just became the Fender dealer,  I got the very first Guitar sold.  And one of the techs, who plays in local band, rocked it through his brand new Hot Rod Deluxe. Tom.  :)  Sienna Sun Burst,  Ash body. Custom Shop Pick ups. 60 anniversary has a different case also this year. And the neck plate shows the 60 anv, pic.    :)

Has any one owned one of these? I can get one for 80.00, the neck has been reset. Supposed to have been made in Chicago in 1959.  Just wandering what there worth or if there junk or not.  Going to go look at it soon, sent message tonight.  If nothing else I think it would be cool to own a old burst guitar.  Thanks, Tom.  :)

Moving this down here to see if any action.   Don't want to spend 129.99 if it is a piece of crap.      -----     Has anyone used or own the pocket pod? there are so many ya n na reviews, who knows what to believe.  I have a Rock Man X-100 , professionally rebuilt, but don't want to carry it around and put it at risk. Theft or being broke.    Any opinion appreciated.  Or any alternative I have not heard of.  Thanks,  Tom.  :)  P.S.  I have three of the Vox ACP amps,  AC30  Classic Rock, Metal .

General Discussion / Free or resonable guitar lessons.
« on: February 21, 2014, 06:13:22 PM »
Is it allowed or doable  to make a thread for free lessons.  I am sure we all know of the You Tube lessons, but I was thinking of more in depth lessons.  One of the ones I like that gets talked about on here is Justin   Here is a link I learned of from my DVD and book I bought.   Tom.  :)    Whole downloadable  lessons for around 5.00.

8   WM24.  I used to own the HM24, phenolic fret board. No Floyd Rose,   Just a kick a## guitar. The only guitar besides my 60 Anv. Strat that I regret trading or selling.  Tom.  :)  I bet this can be had for 200.00 or less.

Don't know if this is worth it or not.   Tom.  :)Or what they cost at the mall.

Just wondering if this would work in my WMJ21S.  I really like my WMJ, and intend for it to be a keeper.  Small but not to small,  and kick butt  sound for the price. I think I could leave it off, and just put it on when I wanted to amp the guitar.  Does that sound like it would work.   thanks, Tom.  :)  P.S.  I should be more clear, I know it would fit.   But has any one ever used one? or are they a piece of junk.  I figure it is a Fishman, so it should at least be good middle of the road quality?

Well it cost me a chunk of guitars, but I traded for a new PRS SE Angelus.  I am down to a pair of Strats A Ibanez S Classic from Japan, A Fender Sonoran SCE, And my WMJ21S.  Wow it seems odd 17 guitars down to 6, but so much easier  at string and set up and maintenance time.  I got a set of .11 polywebs in the trade for string change time. It has .!12 Dadderios   EXP's on it..  Well off to play till my tender fingers get even more so.   Tom.  :)

Acoustic Guitar Players Post Comments & Questions / D36SDL?
« on: December 06, 2013, 09:14:31 AM »
Is this solid wood?  The label says D36SDL.   If I was not repairing my car I would make a bid and see were it goes.   He say SW,  but not on the model label. If the other bids don't go to high, I still might try.  Tom. :)  This might help.   History only goes to 2000.  I assume this is a 03.
