Hey all,

I have an 2006 N4 Vintage that Ive been having some issues with trying to setup properly. Its a great playing and feeling guitar but Im having to issues that I cant seem to correct. First is the B string sounds like a sitar. I have swapped saddles on the FR, cleaned all the metal with #0000 steel wool and Ive tried shimming the nut. Should I replace the nut? The sitar like sound seems to be coming from the bridge but who knows. It is an aged original Floyd Rose. Not a Schaller. Also, my D string vibrates. As far as I can see and tell the frets are all seated correctly and there are no high ones. I adjusted the truss rod to flatten the board and that helped a little bit but didnt cure the issue. Not sure what to do with it at this point. I dont have any "great" techs in my local area that I am confident can remedy the issues. Any ideas here?

Thanks in advance for the help..

Washburn Dealers Section / Washburn Hardshell Chainsaw Case

I have no idea what fits in this. I bought it from ebay with hopes of my N4 fitting in it but the guitar does not. My telecaster, N4 and strat do not fit so Im thinking that the case is for a custom shaped Washburn. The interior shows purple in the pictures for some reason but it is actually dark black. The case is very clean and structurally sound.

$60.00 shipped/paypal to anywhere in the USA.

Thanks for looking!

Washburn Dealers Section / WTB: Hardshell case for Nuno N4

Im looking for a hardshell case that correctly protects the extreme hedstock angle of a Washburn N4. An original case would be great. New or used doesnt matter, as long as its clean and functional.

Thanks!

Guitar Care, Repair, Modification & Lutherie / Cleaning a N4 Vintage

Hi guys,

I just got an N4 Vintage and I want to give it a good cleaning with a restring. I'll polish the frets and use Gerlitz Honey on the fretboard but what do I do with the neck and body? The guitar is a 06 and is just raw Alder. I love the feel of the natural finish but what can I use to clean it up and get the dirt and grim off of it?

Thanks in advance..

N Series (Nuno Bettencourt) / Where and Which case to buy for a N4 Vintage?
« on: February 16, 2011, 07:00:33 PM »
I just got a N4 Vintage and the case is a piece of garbage. It is not the original case so Id like to replace it with one that the N4 will fit securely into.

Suggestions? Im looking at a Gator Flight case that looks like it will match up measurements wise but Im not sure if its the best fit based on the headstock angle of the N4.

Thanks in advance!
