I got my F10S from UBID yesterday afternoon. It is supposed to be a finish flaw, but can't find a single thing wrong ---EXCEPT--- It looks to have a rosewood bridge and a ebony fretboard. Looks strange, but has personality. I like it. I noticed straight off that the bridge was your typical reddy brown striped rosewood with fairly open grain. The fretboard on the other hand is jet black with no openess to the grain and no variation in color at all. I don't own any guitars with ebony fretboards so can't really compare to another one, but it is unlike any of the rosewood fretboards I own and some of those are very dark.  Has anyone ever seen a mistake like this before. I would imagine that is why is sold as a finish flaw. It was made in 2004 in indonesia.

Well folks, just added a new one to the corral. I just got a new F10S from UBID for 49.00. Never having seen one before, let alone played one, I'm soliciting input from those who have. What are your experiences with the F10S. I am assuming it is pretty much a 000 version of the D10S. Is it a 12 fret or 14 fret? I am expecting it to be good, but even if it's not, couldn't really pass up a solid topped washburn for 49.00.

Now I have a 12 string and a 000 on the way.... Can't wait!![:p]

That's it for a while. I'm gonna be in trouble anyway, mama don't get amused anymore and says I'm compulsive......she's right I think.

Check out this guys ebay auctions. might be a bit of false advertising here. He is advertising all laminated guitars as all solid wood. and laminated back and sides as all solid. This sort of thing irritates me. Taking advantage of people who tend to trust authorized dealers.
Read some of his discriptions both current and ended. I am kind of surprised at this high feedback.

Just for fun and curiosity sake.....
If you had the choice to buy any Washburn Acoustic with a maximum retail price of say $850.00 which would it be?

My first choice would be an SJ32S. (Want one bad[:p])
Then if I couldn't find one of those, one of the other SJ series.
I'm a hankerin' for a Jumbo or a Southern Jumbo and that one really caught my eye. The combination of cedar and ebony with the herringbone really looks great to me.

Probably not the first guitar most would think of, but they just really got my interest.

I just bought a brand new D11-BR Mountain Ash on UBID for 55.00 plus 25.00 shipping. 80.00 for an almost 400 dollar guitar! Can't be bad!!
I was looking for an all ash, all mahogany or all willow guitar and didn't expect to get one for this cheap. they are going for around 130.00 plus shipping on ebay right now. I have never bought through UBID before and am hoping it all turns out OK. I'll let you all know about the guitar and the buying experience when it gets here. [:D]
