D10MTWR

Serial SC99104564

I have not ever heard of the D10MTWR before....is this some music store specialty? It is red in color looks like a D100 I seen once.

Working really hard to pick out a full size guitar for my step daughter....Santa brought her a first act discovery and she has noodled around on it pretty much non stop since Christmas morning....so I thought I would get her a full size dread that would at least sound like a real guitar and stay in tune.

I set her up with her first real lesson yesterday....learn the names of all 6 strings as well as tabbed out Mary Had A Little Lamb for her to learn....

This experience may be the greatest thing she and I have done together in the 5 years I have been with her Momma....I just love the smile she gets on her face when she is strumming around on that cheap first act....

For those of you who know about these kinds of things...what can be gleaned from these alphanumeric serial numbers?

G03081157

The D10S I had a few years back had strictly numerics and the first 2 numbers were the production year....Is that he same with this style?

Interesting day around here I would say.

I am so sorry, I cannot find the emails or any communication between us.

I finally got my guitar back from the dude who was installing the pickups for me....he neglected to tell me he could not solder....I ended up having to give him a soldering gun and some lessons so he could finish the project.

These Washburn EMG Select Pups are a great replacement in my Greg Bennett Avion. They give me the chunkiness that I was looking for and some kick ass harmonics.

Playing Electric just got fun for me :-)

Thanks so much.

Steve

This stuff is so bad they are selling it half price :-)

I had to feed my Tesla (and according to Dread my Frank Hannon)fixation over the weekend....5 hour drive to Memphis Tennessee and as we met up with several Tesla message board members for pre-show smiles at The Flying Saucer which lays claim to over 200 beers on tap....and the Saturday Fire Sale was Shiner Bock....I didnt notice this until I was just about to pay our tab....so sorry to say I didn't get to sample.

Who has one of these....and what are your thoughts about it....I just sent Toaster a note to inquire about possibly buying one soon.

Would love to hear actual reviews from people I respect.

Check this out if you are so inclined...I have the part one dvd that a friend made a copy of...even without the booklet, being able to see what is going on was very helpful to me in my practice session last night...I may actually break down and buy this one so I can have the book and backing tracks. (I will probably buy the 2nd edition actually when I finish with this first edition)

The cat is playing a Washburn HB-35 in it too.

General Discussion on Washburn Electric Guitars / Dimes
« on: July 12, 2007, 05:24:25 AM »
Let me ask this....I am a fairly new convert to the Pantera fanfare....Other than these really awesome guitars....what else contributed to that heavy Pantera guitar sound....I mean really...if I plug one of these Dime Guitars into my Peavey Classic 30...its probably going to sound very close to my Les Paul....other than the fact it has a Floyd and you can make the horsie squeal harmonic (Getcha Pull)

He had to have been using some serious distortion.

For me it is:

I'll never cry by Alice Cooper....as done by Poison on their new covers cd Poison'd

I do need a bit of help from the gang...what chord is this?

E-|--1
B-|--1
G-|--2
D-|--3
A-|--3
E-|--1

Is there a more simple voicing?

Are you guys ok? I just read there was a pretty good storm in your area and that they are deploying National Guardsmen to Waco.

God bless the families in Killeen

I was just watching a You Tube video and it reminded me of the age old question about the importance of the wood on a guitar other than the top.

This was an old Heart concert clip where Nancy was kicking major ass on an old Ovation Acoustic/Electric. If you are not familiar with their line, their sound chamber...is solid plastic and convex.....

That being the case....I assume the tone will not change that much over the years...these guitars are held in high regard, but I cannot get comfortable with the big round bowl coming out the back....just doesnt align properly with the beer gut I guess.

Yep....went to a local guitar store today.....I am going to have to quit doing that LOL.....I played a S101 EFT22 tele copy left it in the store and went back to work and emailed the wife and she said go back and get it.....so I did LOL....80 bucks I paid for this thing brand new....brought it home and plugged it in and WOW.....distortion channel is cool for some punk....but the clean channel is where its at. The best country blues sounds I have heard so far.....and have played everything I could get my hands on in the tele and tele copy realm. I am sure a full blown american Tele would probably sound better with my rig....but this 80 dollar guitar smokes any of the mexican teles and all of the squires I played.

Black with standard white pickguard for now.....NO I am not considering the cow thing that Squint has on his....

I am looking at 4 maybe 5 choices probably in this order...

Mirror
Diamond Plate
Mill Plate (swirls in aluminum)
Blue Jeans
Skull Face

I am considering getting a fender neck to put on just so I can upgrade the tuning machines and have that recognized look. This thing has more of a strat style neck on it.

Once I decide on the guard I will take some pictures.
