Show Us Your Washburn / 1985 B-50 Sarzo Bass
« on: December 22, 2005, 11:06:06 AM »
Here's my bass I recently purchased, with the intention to fix up. At some point it has had the bottom left horn smashed off [:(] and has been  re-glued quite poorly but i've found a restorer who should be able to sort that, and comes highly recogmended, i am also currently trying to do something with the bridge, the screws are rusted, but other than that it's beautiful, but not pictured sorry. I'll hopefully be able to get it sorted after christmas, then i'll definately post finished pictures.
The truss rod cover is also incorrect, and will need sorting.
I've circled damage thats not overly visable, as the pictures are small.

This is the bass (mostly disassembled):

This is the damage i explained from the front:

This is the damage from the back where it sadly snapped completely off  [:(]

and this is the incorrect trust rod cover.. just for fun [:I]

I cant wait for it to all be sorted, it plays beautifully, it just feels a little fragile, tell me what you think, of it and my intentions.
laters,  nick

Discuss Basses and Bass Playing / Rudy Sarzo Sig' Bass?
« on: December 21, 2005, 05:26:16 PM »
Hey, I recently purchased a Rudy Sarzo bass, but it's different from the typical model. it has 1 humbucker, if anyone can help me gain any knowledge on what model it actually is it'd much appriciated, i only enquire as the trust rod cover(thing) reads AB-45, but when i do any sort of search on it, all i find is images of big accoustic looking basses.
the serial on the neck plate reads: 580123, if that's any help at all.

thanks alot, any help at all would be vastly appriciated
