General Discussion on Washburn Electric Guitars / Need help deciding!!!
« on: January 30, 2009, 01:40:51 PM »
Looking for a new guitar. Came across a WI 18 or a Schecter Omen 6. Price between the two I've found is comparable, so that won't be an issue. Just looking to get other peoples thoughts who may have more experience than I do. Any comparisons (or horror stories) would be appreciated!

General Discussion on Washburn Electric Guitars / Hard Case for X15
« on: March 31, 2007, 12:07:50 PM »
Hey, I have an X15 Anarchy that came with a padded gig bag.  I'm looking for a hard case for it.  Anybody know if any of the X-series cases would work, or are they all different sizes (like the X30 or X12)?  I still have my case for my old G2-V, and the X15 is a shorter guitar and won't quite sit in the mold for the G2-V.  Would anyone out there be willing to trade?  Anyways, always thanks for the info!

Hey, I'm in the market for a new guitar and was just wondering what you guys thought was a good guitar for the buy.  By no means am I a virtuoso.  I play '80's hair metal (M.C., GNR, Metallica, ect...) and darker sounding metal, something like Disturbed and the like.  Right now I'm playing on a Fender Strat and it's tone is just too twangy for my likes.  I'm to poor, uneducated to get any type of effects pedals to adjust the tone.  That's what I liked about my old G2-V, it had that dark tone naturally just plugged into an amp with a little bit of distortion.  Anyway, any advice would be much appreciated.  I'm looking quite forward to getting back to playing a Washburn soon.

General Discussion on Washburn Electric Guitars / Info on old Washburn
« on: September 18, 2006, 12:41:54 PM »
I just started playing not too long ago, and I got a Washburn from my aunt.  This stuff was new to me, so I don't know much about this stuff.  I believe it was a GV-2 model (at least that's what I think was emblazened at the top of the neck).  Anyway, my collection grew with some Fenders and off-brand stuff.  The Washburn was always my favorite.  A couple of months ago, my apartment was broken into and the Washburn and my amp were stolen.  So far, I haven't found anything else that provided the sound of the Washburn.  Can anyone out there give me more info on the GV-2 model (if, I am correct and that is what it is)?  Are there any of these still around?  Any info on where I might find another one will be greatly appriciated.
Thanks all,
Preston Hughes
