Well yeah im gonna make the payment via Western Union in a  few days..Since we have the weekend as Thursday/friday im going to have to wait a couple of days to make the payment..
I was considering a hard-shell since im ordering the guitar might as well get the case once and for all..Jon suggests this case-

http://www.elderly.com/accessories/items/AGCS1-LP.htm

I dont know why but i dont really like the look of the case..Any experiences with this case?
I pretty much liked the Washburn GC40 case..Does the guitar fit in it?

Yeah ill be insuring the guitar aswell..Dont want to take any chances!

Hehe..Neither am I..!
Just asking as I want to make sure the guitar is versatile enough for me because my band makes me switch from classic rock to funky cleans and to heavy metal after ever song..
Even i wont be getting the hardshell case as i really don't gig a lot..
I just hope the guitar arrives in one piece though!

I noticed a few songs by RHCP in your songlist (the one in your earlier thread) and since im a HUGE fan of the band just wanted to ask-How does the guitar cope with RHCP songs?

hey cedwards,
I think ive decided on the WI45 ;)
Actually i think its best i get the 45 as the cost of getting the 66 would go way above my budget!
I can always replace the pickups later on.If i may need to,
Im looking to get it in white as soon as possible but Jon says he doesnt have them in stock..So ive got to wait a while..Ugh..the agony!
Well how much does a hard-shell case cost?Itll be safer in shiping as well right?

hey cedwards,
Just saw your review of the WI45.I can say that im somewhat convinced to get the WI45!
The finish on your guitar looks amazing!
I just went through the Funky Munky website seems that they ship internationally for about 150$
what genres does the guitar fit into? How does it sound through a modeling amp?
Do you have any sound clips/videos of the guitar?
I was looking for a les paul-kinda sound..
If you could give me Jon's email address it would be of a great help!

Hello,
Ive been thinking of getting a new guitar sometime this year and needed a few suggestions on what to get.
Ive narrowed my choices to any of these 3 guitars-
WI64,WI64 vintage,WI66Pro..
im leaning towards the WI66 pro mainly because of the price and amazing reviews it has got.
So what do you guys think would be best for me?Im a pretty average player,my styles vary from classic rock to funk to metal.ill be running it through a roland cube 30X..
what are the differences between the WI64 and the vintage model?
And on a side note,I wont be able to try any of these guitars before buying so thats what im worried about..

Thanks and Regards

hmm i guess i'll give the .10s a little more time if they still dont work for me then i'll change them..
i'd probably be in the market for a new guitar by the end of the year and have been looking around for les paul style washburns.Does the current Washburn line-up have any les paul type guitars?my budget is pretty low around 500$ or so.

i dont think ill change the pickups yet..Ill adjust the pickup height and see the results.
Is it true that guitars get better with age?ive heard a couple of people say that!
Im looking for a kind of warm tone or a variation suited to rock of the woman tone and the current settings i use make it sound a little fake.Any suggestion?
Another question I use gauge 10-46 strings on the guitar and sometimes i feel theyre a bit too light i mean in terms of tone.Should i shift to a thicker gauge?

well ive done most of the things BlueBuddha has said.Ive got new strings, had the fretboard cleaned and polished with lemon oil and also setup the action mostly by myself.
Im play a large array of music but mainly classic rock and heavy metal.classic rock as in Guns n roses type of music.
I was overjoyed when i found the guitar!!its not a standard floyd some kind of pre-speedloader model i suppose.
What difference does pickup height make to the sound?

Some pics of the guitar-

Another question-my guitar looks different from a catalogue scan of which washburn sent me-

Some changes i noticed-
-Cream outline missing on catalogue (its there on the SBT)
-Tone and volume countrols are different on the catalogue
-Its listen as WT-4 and not WT-4V
any idea why these differences?

hey thanks for your replies people!appreciate it alot!
Well its not really my fault the guitar was lying in the case!i didnt even know it existed.Found it in my basement and got the story out from my mum that my grandpa had sent it for me many years ago when i was a little kid.
I'll try the WD-40 tomorrow.I dont think I'll be able to strip down guitar as i dont really want to mess with it and break something else while Im at it.
The guitar is a 1989 WT-4V.Its not worth much but i still love the guitar alot!
Any tips on improving the sound from it?Dont get me wrong I love its sound but i always feel there's room for improvement..i run it through a Roland cube 30X.
Thanks again!
