Hello redmanmac1,

Your guitar is a Maverick BT2 Q (which is quilt top), some information can be read here - http://www.vintagewashburn.com/Electrics/Maverick.html
----------
BT2
- slightly offset double cutaway mahogany body, maple neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset pearl dot inlay, three-per-side Grover tuners, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, two exposed humbucker pickups, two knobs (v, tone), three-way switch on upper bass bout, chrome hardware, available in Black, Cherry Sunburst, Caribbean Blue, Metal Flake Blue, Metal Flake Silver, Tiffany Blue, or White finish, mfg. 1997-2002. In 2000, Metal Flake Blue, Metal Flake Silver, and Caribbean Blue finishes were disc. In 2001, White finish was introduced. Last MSR was $340.
BT2 Q
- similar to BT2, except has a quilted maple top, available in Vintage Sunburst finish, mfg. 1998-2002. Last MSR was $370.
-----------

Here is the Washburn Catalog from 2001 - http://www.washburn.com/media/pdfs/catalogs/WB_2001catalog.PDF If you scroll down you will find the BT2Q

I myself own two BTM mini (red and blue) with fully upgraded electronics and humbuckers.

Please post some pictures of your Wasburn...  I suggest making an account with photobucket - www.photobucket.com

cameradude, i can't seem to find your previous post with the pictures...  what model is it?  what is the pickup configurations ( precision, jazz, jazz bridge precision neck)?  number of control knobs?  we might not be able to get diagram for your exact model, but we can point you in a good direction.  i suggest posting clear wide angle, close-up, macro pictures of the inside control wiring (much easier to diagnose the problem if you see where wire has come loose than just saying loose wire)

bakura,

it is hard to find exact replacement body for most Washburn guitars, unless you buy another guitar and use that as a donor guitar.
you can try fixing the crack body, here are some tips http://www.mademan.com/mm/how-repair-cracks-guitar-body.html#vply=0 but if that is not your cup of tea, then may i suggest buying replacement bodies by AllParts http://www.allparts.com/guitar-bodies, Mightymite http://www.mightymite.com/Bodies.html, Warmoth http://www.warmoth.com/Guitar/Bodies/ buying a used donor guitar with similar pickup configuration should be something to consider too.

Anyway i hope you are able to find good solution for your predicament.  Rock on!

Snytefant,

Washburn made most of the vintage bass, electric and acoustic guitar in Japan and Korea (Samick which started a factory in Indonesia en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samick) with custom shop in USA..  I am merely speculating about Washburn operation... to avoid being label as foreign-made guitar the country of manufacture, model name and serial number were printed on paper (which in time the paper fell off), while in some of their other guitars had the information printed on the guitar itself.

I own 2 Maverick BTM mini electric guitars, the red (rare mint) Grover Rotomatic tuners, with info on paper, and blue (used) trapezoid tuners...  missing all the paper stickers.

Your welcome Gringoloco361,

I am more capable with minor mods than playing with my guitars...  I guess I'm more of a collector...  I think the alignment of string over the pole of humbucker are not rigid like they need to be exact..  as long as the magnets sense the strings then it's good...  But honestly, it would bother me to no end, and I am guessing they didn't align the humbucker cavity correctly.  just my 2 cents..  Nice acquisition.

Hello Gringoloco361,

Welcome to the Washburn forum...

is the neck straight or warped?  Are the humbuckers original to your guitar or are they upgraded?  It is hard to diagnose without pictures, like they say a picture paints a thousand words.

Can you post some pictures...  (my suggestion is use photo web hosting site, and then link pictures in your post).  Take picture of whole guitar from front face, from the body towards neck emphasis on the bridge, and vice versa (neck to body emphasis on nut neck)

I use Photobucket, I suggest resize pictures to max length less than 1000pixel

i need to get some softer springs, the current springs limit the height of the humbuckers...  I don't have extras so i will need to buy some... it isn't a fair comparison now because of the height adjustment..  They are my first Alnico V humbucker, the Dragonfire Phat Screamer are ceramic.  8)

Just found some springs that better fit the humbucker ring like hand and glove, i'm trying to find the sweet spot (i don't like measuring the pickup height, use my own eye to guage)  ;D

Ok ok, i took a long time to upload pictures of my Metallic Blue Maverick BTM.  I really wanted Mightymite Motherbuckers (also known as Mightybucker) 22k bridge 17.8k neck, I choose zebra over plain black and plain cream.  So here goes

Original trapezoid tuners, Allparts dice knobs, Mightymite Bluebuckers, JA 3-way toggle switch MiK, B500k linear push-pull pots MiJ, Ernie Ball Cobalt 9's

Mightymite Bluebucker (top are ceramic) and Mightymite Motherbucker (bottom are Alnico V) both humbuckers are new

Mightymite Motherbuckers, Grover Rotomatic 18:1 ratio tuners

the insides

T.Y.

just like the OP picture, here is my Washburn Maverick BTM mini hardtail

the original K-10 humbuckers (pair) are weak sounding, UPGRADE: Dragonfire Phat Screamers (drastic improvement: like night and day) 17.5k bridge 8.8k neck

Lawnmowerman, welcome to the Washburn forum.

Can you post some pictures, (i suggest using photo web hosting site like 'photobucket.com' and link the picture here)
The BillyT models later became the Maverick Series, i could be wrong but they have similarities like off-set bodies.

Maverick Series http://vintagewashburn.com/Electrics/Maverick.html

i search the web and found this...  http://nashville.craigslist.org/msg/3787117592.html  Does it look like your Billy T electric guitar?

or http://www.guitarstats.com/Profiles/Guitarded/Billy-T  maybe this one?

Ok, I guess you probably saw this one, but i figure you can follow the diagram... forums.washburn.com/index.php/topic,18997.msg146717.html

You asked about what humbuckers to upgrade to..  but I think since you will be making some upgrades...  I might as well try to give you more ideas how to hotrod your Washburn. from "I like it" to "I love it!" from "nice" to "Wow!"

Credit:  Stratman88 for diagram.
