Southwest Series / Re: D42SCE Need any information at all!

The Washburn 1999 catalog listed my D42-SCE at $699 featuring Solid Spruce Top, Rosewood Back and Sides. 641mm SCALE/44mm NUT. Rosewood fingerboard. Mahogany Neck. EQUIS EXTRA EQ electronics with 1/4" and XLR outputs. Rosewood carved Bridge. Grover 18:1 Tuners. It is a great instrument that has held up beautifully. Sounds fantastic with age!

Okay, I'll admit to being older than dirt. I have, however, listened to pretty much everyone from all era, and have been influenced in one form or another by all of them. I can apreciate ANYone who has ever picked up a guitar, regardless of their prowess (or lack thereof) as I am a GUITAR nut. I merely seized the oportunity to name ten guys that *I* love. Hating is just not my thing, ya know? There was a time when the only guitarist regarded with any respect was Segovia. These days, it's guys with buckets on their heads, or guys with seven strings tuned to drop C. Different strokes for different folks, and all that. To quote Zappa: Shut Up 'N Play Yer Guitar.

P.S. Holdsworth is brilliant.

Just stumbled on this while trying to stay OFF the bay ;-)
I almost jumped on it, when I noticed that the location is Austria.
I tend to shy away from overseas deals, maybe someone here would be interested?

Now THAT is sweet! I'm not too big on Floyds anymore these days, preferring a Wilkinson. Love to see/have one of these with a Wilkinson, Sperzels, Piezo, Roland GK, and Sustainer, in blueburst. Would that be too much to ask? Those are pretty much my favorite specs on ANY guitar. Congrats, Burner, she's a beaut. Nice playing, too!

What a warm welcome, thanks. Looks like this will be a fun place to hang, from what I have seen so far.

Sweet, I love old white guitars when the finish yellows with age.

Well, after lurking here for years, I was finally cajoled into joining the ranks by my good friend, Chrisadam. So to hereby throw my hat into the ring, I submit this pic of me with my Dimebag Culprit, and my original vintage A-20, what do you think, guys? Glad to be here.
