Guitar Care, Repair, Modification & Lutherie / Wiring diagram
« on: April 27, 2016, 02:34:47 PM »
I have a 1979 Wing Series Hawk. I am looking the wiring diagram for this particular guitar as it seems to have been modified. The two volume controls are push pull pots. I am not sure this was standard wiring. Someone also replaced one of the pickups.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone live in the Salem Oregon area.

Maybe you could try one of the tele bridges that look cut off for installing a humbucker, or a strat hardtail brige.

I have a 1979 Hawk. It is the most gorgeous guitar I have ever owned. The neck through body and the different layers of wood sets
it apart. I cannot think of of any guitar I would trade it for.

I have one of those and someone replaced the bridge pickup with one of the JB humbuckers , it is to small for the ring and it is also black. Does anyone know what would replace it and look original ?

Guitar Care, Repair, Modification & Lutherie / washburn pickups

New to forum. Can anyone tell me the output of a 1979
wing series (Power Sustain) pickup? I have looked everywhere. The
problem is someone replaced it with wrong size pickup. I am looking
for output to see what will replace it.
                                Thank You

Look on, music electronics forum , TDPRI , i think there are some pickups by GFS
anyway it could be set up rather inexpensively. You are starting from the ground up anyway, how
bad could it be? It looks like all of the parts you need would be bolt on.
