Being that your wrist wrests on the bridge and above the low E string , I don't see how a pick guard would help,

If it plays well and u like the middle pickup , who cares if it's devalued a bit , it's not a 59 les Paul, great looking axe,

JSA, just want you to know I missed that Davies by 10 minutes! It was on GC's used site , I rushed to my local GC to buy it and they called the store (was it in fl? ) and said they had sold it ten minutes ago, don't know if u remember but around that time there was a maple board alder n4 in New York at that same time, so I bought that one instead,,, you got a great deal on that guitar , I couldn't believe the price , mine cost much more and wasn't even a Davies,, lucky bastard!! Lol u are lucky GC is an hour away from my work,, great score , but I'm digin my maple board N4

That amp is a Beast in vintage sheep clothing, it has been discontinued, it is a Mesa Boogie Stiletto Ace, great thick tone, more gain than you would ever need, and dual footswitchable master volumes, its mesa's Solo feature, to bump your volume up for solos, just set one master volume higher than the other and hit the solo button on the footswitch when its time, it is a British voiced EL34 amp, 50 watts

The neck is actually naturally reliced due to playing wear , the body had some natural relicing but i just helped it along a bit, and upgraded the tremolo and nut blocks, i have the tremolo blocked from pulling back, push down only,, ill be installing a d tuna , a brass trem stop and a brass Big Block tonight or tomorrow, the spring claw and springs are actually aged as well, will post more pics soon
