Wow, I like that.  Not a big fan of the headstock but the rest is very nice.

In Russia guitar plays you?

Drefen, thank you!

There is just one Washburn dealler in Russia.

I wonder why the headstock looks differet from the same model guitar on this web catalog..
Also it has Bill Lawrence U.S.A. and Head Hunter humbuckers which is different from specification on Washburn web-site

Who knows why it has ESP pointed headstock?
Has anyone got washburn with the same thing?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:ESP-headstock-sharp.svg

by the way, washburn is not poppular in Russia

Welcome Kastet... Nice guitar. We don't have a lot of Russian member here !! That is cool (International member)... Washburn is'nt popular in Russia ??

Hi millenium!

Actually in Russia people prefer Ibanez for some reason.
Most of deallers here provide Ibanez, Fender, Epiphone, Kramer, Jackson....
It is harder to find Washburn, Fernandes, Yamaha and even Gibson..  may be because of it about 60% of russian guitarists have Ibanez.
Which one is the most poppular in the US?

I don't know for the US... I live in Québec, Canada... here for sure, GODIN guitar are EVERYWHERE !!!
And I see a lot of Fender, epiphone, Takmine, Seagull, Ibanez, Squier, Oscar Schmidtt,
Some Washburn, Ovation, Gibson, Taylor, Martin, Jackson,

Now I saw your x30 in this topic.
I replied to you at another topic.
It is indeed a strange model...
Reminds me very much of my very first electric, a Jap Cyclone.
The pups are stock? You must be very happy with them I think.
What was the price?
Man, I think Washburns are the most honest guitars... Along with Corts...

Enjoy it!

pickups: Bill Lawrence U.S.A. and Head Hunter humbuckers.

dont know how well they are since there is nothing to compare with.
before buying x-30 I had used Phil Pro with noname pickups for 3 years.
and now washburn gives me great feelings when I play on it, espaccially I enjoy with that thin fingerboard.

This is the outrageous 360 euros aprox. !!!!! Very good price! Where is it made?
The bridge pickup is Bill Lawrence, is it good???  The Headhunter neck is not bad (used to have a pair of them in my X50q before the Tone Zones) but if you want something more , you should try Duncan or DiMarzio.
If you want  tips for pickups and mods, don't hesitate to ask.

Kastet you can't go wrong with Washburn, trust me.
You 've seen what guitars I own. Also owned USA LesPaul. Also I have played 3 times as many.
My fellow guitarist bought a Korean X50q after seeing mine. Still has the HeadHunters, not bad at all. We both play Behringer V-amp II (I sold almost every expensive amp I had, this little thing is magic IF you konw how to use it, or else it sucks...)
If he mentions anything about selling the X50q, no one else will know about it, I'll get it in a moment! It is discontinued now.

I own a studio, full of instruments and I fix things myself. You should try V-amp. It's so cheap, if you don't like it, keep it as a... tuner!!! Played it from small bars to open-air shows, this thing rocks.

Stay in tune and rock hard!

Made in Indonesia.

Bill Lawrence is not bad for hard distorsion I think.
I have no much expirience in playing guitar.. just learning :)now I use my x-30 with DigiTech RP150 processor.
what do you use?

thanks

what price of V-amp II?

Post by: Kastet14 on February 27, 2008, 08:45:54 AM
why you decided to use processor instead of lamp amp ?
Title: my x-30
Post by: antant on February 27, 2008, 08:59:38 AM
It's simple. When you play in a small club, you need to carry little stuff with you and you do not want a loud amp (because you will hear yourself loud and the others in the audience will not, depending on where they stand). When you play in a big show, the sound engineer brings large tube amps, so you just plug in. In every case, you have a consistent sound , unless the sound engineer does something wrong. You should listen to V-amp II, it has some great sounds, but you will need to tweak it a little, so it sounds good. It also gives you stereo out, so when I play with a wide-minded sound eng, I feed 2 channels to the console, with slightly different signals (one dry and bassy and the other trebly and with a little reverb, the stereo effect in a large live is exceptional). I also modified my black strat and my black Cort, so I plug another cord (stereo) which ends to the V-amp II, where the footswitch normally pluged, so I can change patches with my hand! See the 2 buttons near the front humbuckers. You may think it is weird, but it is practical and you can run and jump wherever you like!!! I'm leaving for work now, if you have any other qusetions, post them and give me some time to answer!

Bye Antonis

V-amp II at about 90-120 euros ...

I saw V-amp II.

I think the processor I use is not worse. I has realistic effects, quite hard and enjoyable distorsion and overdrive.
If you are interested check demos on digitech.com or I can send you some of mine.
Also I would like to see your demos made with that Cort and x-50

Ok Kastet, mail me mp3's at antant@otenet.gr and I will find you some recorded rehearsals from my studio

When you play live, an active DI is necessary, I have the red Behringer, with cabinet simulation, very realistic, when you plug directly to a console.

Post by: Kastet14 on February 28, 2008, 02:48:05 AM
what is DI ?
Title: my x-30
Post by: antant on February 28, 2008, 03:06:09 AM
check this
http://www.behringer.com/GI100/index.cfm?lang=eng
The DI takes a mono unbalanced signal and produces a balanced XLR signal for console. this one also produces a sound like a miked amp, because if you plug a processor directly to a console, you will often hear a ridiculous sound. Do some research, by the keyword DI, cabinet simulation, and you will learn more.
Check these links (I was very fast hey???)

They are recorded during a live gig with my former band, DON'T WALK, but the recording is from the bar's PC. Anyway, you can hear our sound. I play with the black strat with the Tone Zone's, V-amp II and my red DI.
It was 3-4 ago, I think...
Do some googling, you will find a lot about live setup. Or go and help someone during a live setup, you will learn what to do, to sound better in a live.

Hey Kastet, I also found something I recorded with my white strat (check photos in my profile), I have installed Seymour Duncan Hot Rails on it, with parallel-series switches, a lot of work but totally successful. Very loud pickup, don't fool you because it looks like a single coil but it is twin-rail, very loud I say again. I also have pics of the new pickguard I made, the old one is untouched, with the original Fender pups and switch, somewhere in a drawer...

Hey, Antonis,

can you send it through ICQ or Skipe? I will be there this evening.
It is simplier because I have hardly limited e-mail box.

hey, nice playing and performance from links above .
there you use drum machine or drummer played?

Post by: antant on February 28, 2008, 11:46:27 PM
Hey Kastet, it is our former band. It's our annual live, we give the funds to a child-charity organization. You can tell it's a drummer, he's not always in tempo!!! We are amateurs but we have a good time... Unfortunately we split, 2 years ago.

I'll mail you today or tomorrow some new rehearsals

Cheers,
AA

Kastet I mailed you an mp3 but I got a failure delivery from your mail server. I guess it doesn't accept mp3's. I will upload some mp3's to another site, but you have to give me some time. Today, after work, we have a live gig, 30 km from our city, in a small bar. Maybe I'll deal with my pc tomorrow, ok?
